Russia attacks Mykolaiv region with Shahed drones: one hit and one wounded

On 28 and 29 December, the Russian army twice attacked the Ochakiv and Chornomorka communities in Mykolaiv region with drones. Air defences were also operating in the region at night.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Yesterday, on 28 December, at around 23:40, Russians attacked Ochakiv with Shahed drones. As a result of the falling wreckage of the downed drones, three sheds and a holiday home caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

In addition, on the night of 29 December at 00:50, the Russian army Shaheds shelled the Chornomorka community. The attack hit a non-residential building. The falling debris started a fire in the administrative building at the energy infrastructure facility, which was extinguished by rescuers.

«A 49-year-old employee of the company was injured. The victim's condition is satisfactory», the statement said.

Also on the night of 29 December, the air defence destroyed nine Shahed 131/136 drones over Mykolaiv region.

As a reminder, on the night of Saturday, 28 December, the Russian army launched drones at Mykolaiv. As a result of the attack, the roof of a house in the Inhulskyi district was on fire.

The nighttime drone attack on Mykolaiv damaged 8 buildings. The roof of a multi-storey building suffered the most, where drone fragments destroyed it by a third.

Eyewitnesses told NikVesti about what they experienced that night. Despite the fact that no one was injured at the site of the impact, the roof of the building was destroyed by a third. Utilities are trying to cover it with tents.
