On Wednesday, 5 February, Ukraine returned 150 defenders home after being in Russian captivity.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, the Navy servicemen who were taken prisoner in Mariupol and Zaporizhzhia region were returned. The Air Force, Air Assault and Land Forces, National Guard, border guards, terrorist fighters and a police officer have also returned.

«All of them are from different areas of the frontline, but they have one thing in common: they fought for Ukraine», the president wrote.

He noted that some of the guys had been in captivity for more than two years.
