Eight Mykolaiv marines, all defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, have been returned from Russian captivity

Today, 15 January, eight Mykolaiv marines who defended Mariupol and «Azovstal» have been released from captivity.
This was reported by the press service of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinskyi.
Among them are four marines from the 36th Brigade, two from the 1st Separate and two from the 501st Separate Battalions.
«We welcome our brothers to the Ukrainian land! We rejoice with their families and friends. We are proud of the courageous feat of each of them. In the future, the guys will undergo treatment and rehabilitation. We sincerely thank everyone who made efforts to bring our brothers back from Russian captivity! We remember everyone. We will return everyone. We will take revenge», the press service wrote.





Today, on 15 January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the return from captivity of 25 Ukrainian civilians and military personnel, including the defenders of Mariupol and «Azovstal».The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted that the defenders fought as part of the National Guard, the Armed Forces (including territorial defence), the Navy and the State Border Guard Service. In addition, they managed to return the wounded soldiers from the Kursk operation.
