Another vessel and grain storage facilities damaged in attack on Odesa port

Four Syrian nationals were killed and two others were injured in a nighttime attack on the port of Odesa. At the time of the attack, crew members were loading a ship with wheat for export to Algeria.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper.

Oleh Kiper noted that the ballistic missile damaged the vessel «MJ PINA» flying the flag of Barbados.

«Unfortunately, four people were killed — citizens of Syria. The youngest victim was 18, the oldest was 24 years old», he added.

Two more people — a Ukrainian and a Syrian — were injured.

«At the time of the attack, the vessel was loading wheat for export to Algeria. An absolutely civilian vessel», wrote Oleh Kiper.

The strike also damaged another vessel, berths and grain storage facilities.

As a reminder, a ballistic missile strike on Odesa on 1 March in the evening damaged port infrastructure and a civilian vessel, and injured two port employees.
