15 buildings were damaged following a night-time attack in Mykolaiv, and around 30 windows were shattered in a high-rise block

In Mykolaiv, municipal services are clearing up the aftermath of the night-time attack. On the ground, they are clearing debris, dismantling damaged structures and boarding up broken windows.

This was reported by the mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych.

According to preliminary data, around 30 windows have been damaged in apartment blocks. Fifteen private homes have also been affected, with windows shattered there too.

Rescue workers, utility services, representatives of the district administration and specialists from the emergency management department are working at the scene.

Experts are inspecting the buildings and documenting all damage. Residents are being advised on next steps and the possibility of receiving compensation. Work will continue until the aftermath has been fully dealt with.

Anton Uzhva, First Deputy Head of the Inhulskyi District Administration, reported that a drone had crashed onto the grounds of one of the schools.

«At half past two in the morning, a ‘Shahed’ fell onto the school grounds, shattering the windows in the building. Houses located next to the school were also damaged, mainly with shattered windows. Around 30 windows were damaged in an apartment block. The private sector was also affected — 15 houses, where windows were also shattered. Work is currently underway to board them up and clear the surrounding area. I think we will finish the work today, board up the windows and advise residents on what to do next,» he said.

As a reminder, on 16 March in Mykolaiv, windows in an educational institution and a high-rise block were damaged as a result of overnight shelling. Also, throughout the day and night, FPV drones attacked the Ochakiv community in the Mykolaiv district seven times.
