The health care department of the Mykolaiv City Council currently does not have officially confirmed information about a child who fell into a coma after the vaccine was administered.

The head of the department, Iryna Shamrai, informed the NikVesti correspondent about this in a comment.

As you know, today the Mykolaiv publication Novosti-N, referring to relatives, reported that the child fell into a coma after being vaccinated at Children's Polyclinic №2.

However, the management is not ready to confirm this information. At the time of the conversation, Iryna Shamrai said that she was trying to contact the editorial office for clarification.

«I cannot comment on this situation. We are waiting for communication with Novosti-N. I did not print this news,» said Iryna Shamrai.

The mayor's advisor Ivan Smirenskyi also informed NikVesti that the information is being checked. All that is known now is the name and age of the child — the girl's name is Polina, she is 6 months old. All cases of vaccinations in the last few days are currently being checked.

The editors also contacted the godmother of the girl, Viktoria Basareva, who passed on our contacts to the child's parents. However, we have not been able to confirm this fact due to the lack of any information.

We will remind you that on July 15, the former director of the Mykolaiv Regional Infectious Disease Hospital, deputy Svitlana Fedorova, said that medicines and vaccines are stored in the family outpatient clinic No. 5 in conditions of record heat in Mykolaiv.

In response to this, the administration of City Polyclinic №1 assured that vaccinating children during periods of extreme heat is absolutely safe, as vaccines are stored in special refrigerators or thermal containers.
