At least five civilians were killed and three more were injured as a result of Russian shelling of the Donetsk region on May 26.

This was announced by the head of Donetsk RMA, Vadym Filashkin.

«Russia is killing civilians! On May 26, the Russians killed five residents of Donetsk region: two in Antonivka, one each in Siversk, Krasnohorivka, and Chasiv Yar. Three more people in the region were injured during the day,» said the head of the region.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russians have killed at least 1,978 and injured at least 4,925 civilians in Donetsk region.

Vadym Filashkin emphasizes that these figures do not take into account the victims of the occupiers in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
