According to the SSU, the suspects were looking for citizens of draft age who wanted to evade mobilization. For three thousand dollars, they were sold fictitious IDs, which were supposed to allow unhindered movement through checkpoints.

According to the investigation, for $10,000 the dealers promised to help with unhindered departure to the EU countries. For this amount, the men were given instructions and advice, and were also supposed to ensure arrival at the state border crossing point and its further crossing.

The extras produced fakes in an underground printing house, which was organized on the basis of the production facilities of their acquaintances. The law enforcement officers admit that the appearance of the fake was of high quality and closely resembled diplomatic certificates of the established model, the SBU writes.

The organizers of the scheme were caught red-handed when they received money for organizing an escape abroad for $10,000.

  • Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code — obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations committed by a group of people based on a prior conspiracy;
  • part 3 of article 15, part 3 of article 332 of the Criminal Code — attempt to illegally transport people across the state border of Ukraine.

Detainees face up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. So far, the court has ordered the organizer and one other figure to be held in custody without alternative. Another accomplice was sentenced to 24-hour house arrest. The law enforcement officers are identifying other people involved.

We will remind, in Mykolaiv and Uzhhorod three suspects were detained in the organization of illegal crossing of the border by conscripts. It is noted that residents of Mykolaiv were looking for clients, and a resident of Uzhhorod advised clients. The detainees asked for their services from 4 to 8 thousand dollars.
