111 apartment buildings damaged by Russian military aggression are being rebuilt in Mykolaiv Oblast within the framework of the project of the Energy Efficiency Fund's «VidnovyDIM» program.

Mykola Iliinov, financial director of the «Energy Efficiency Fund», reported this during the «Home Recovery: City Recovery Technologies» forum, NikVesti reports.

The forum «Home Recovery: City Recovery Technologies» took place on May 30, in Mykolaiv. About 70 representatives of condominiums (an association of co-owners of an apartment building, — note) became participants in the event to discuss the issue of energy efficiency.

«As experience shows, Mykolaiv is developing successfully compared to other cities of Ukraine in terms of energy efficiency and recovery. Thanks to such forums, communication takes place between condominiums, contractor companies and the city council. This allows effective implementation of recovery measures,» Mykola Iliinov said in a comment to NikVesti.

In addition, he noted that Mykolayiv is the leader in terms of the number of submitted applications for the restoration of houses under the program «VidnovyDIM».

«The Mykolaiv region processes applications well. 165 applications have already been submitted, of which 111 are already in the process of restoration — some apartment buildings have already been completely restored, but most are in the process of restoration. On average, according to our statistics, 2.2 million hryvnias are spent on the restoration of one apartment building, that is, more than 300 million hryvnias have already been invested in the restoration of buildings,» Mykola Iliinov said.

The best examples of energy modernization of Ukrainian buildings were also presented at the forum.

«Implementation of energy-efficient measures in the housing sector is not only saving on utility bills for every person, but also the energy independence of the country and its security,» emphasized Tetiana Tymoshina, co-founder of the Center for Housing and Enterprise Development.

We will remind that 40 million hryvnias were allocated from the Mykolaiv budget in 2023 for the restoration of high-rise buildings damaged as a result of Russian shelling.

The first high-rise building in Mykolaiv damaged by shelling began to be restored at the expense of the city budget in July 2023. We are talking about a house on Krylova street, which was hit by a Russian missile in the summer of 2022.

Subsequently, the Department of Housing and Housing announced a tender for the restoration of a five-story building in the center of Mykolaiv, which was destroyed by a Russian missile in the fall of 2022.

At the same time, the city council supported the allocation of funds from the budget of Mykolaiv for the technical inspection of private houses affected by the war.

NikVesti also found out why the residents of some destroyed high-rise buildings refuse to dismantle them and what will happen to the houses further in the article «The problem of restoration: how Mykolaiv residents live, whose homes were destroyed by Russia.»
