He made this announcement during a session of the Mykolaiv City Council on 2 October, according to NikVesti.
According to Oleksandr Sienkevych, he had walked along this stretch the day before and noticed the condition of the pavement.
«In one spot, it’s not just that there’s no tarmac; people — those on bicycles or in prams — have started using the green area because the pavement is simply impassable,» said the mayor.
He asked the Department of Municipal Services to assess the condition of this section and find the funds to repair it.
«Just take a look there; this section is simply dreadful,» remarked Oleksandr Sienkevych.
It should be noted that in Mykolaiv, priority will be given to repairing sections in a state of disrepair on avenues and main roads with the heaviest traffic. These include, in particular, Central and Bohoiavlensyi Avenues, Kherson Highway, as well as Kosmonavtiv, Sadova and Nikolska Streets.
