The British government will allocate money for the development of the Pervomaisk community: it will be spent on a restoration project or the development of a master plan

The Pervomaysk community of the Mykolaiv region will receive financial support from the British government for the production of one restoration project or development of the community's master plan.

Maksym Korovai, the head of the Pervomaisk settlement military administration, reported this in a comment to NikVesti.

— Our community participated in a grant project conducted by the governments of Ukraine and Great Britain. We were pre-selected from the ten most affected communities. Now the British government plans to financially help selected communities to develop project and estimate documentation and urban planning documentation. At the moment, I don't know what exactly Great Britain will offer us: either it will finance the construction of one important social infrastructure object for us, or it will provide money for the development of urban planning documentation, — said Maksym Korovai.

He also added that the community has several options of objects for the development of the reconstruction project: «It can be our main educational institution, which is completely destroyed, or the May Day cultural center, which is also significantly damaged. It's up to the donor to decide, according to the statements we discussed».

We will remind you that the Pervomaisk community is one of those that suffered the most during the full-scale war. For example, in the village of Partyzanske, 70% of residential buildings were destroyed. Ten modular houses were installed there for people who lost their homes.

At the same time, in the village of Kyselivka of the Pervomaisk community, located 55 kilometers from Mykolaiv and from March 2022 to November, it was actually in the war zone, currently about 75% of the housing stock has been destroyed due to Russian shelling.

Also, the village of Maksymivka was under Russian occupation for eight months. The village was 95% destroyed, and most of the residents never returned to the settlement.
