During the war, more than 300 enterprises left Mykolaiv Oblast — the regional council offers up to ₴200,000 support for return

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 342 enterprises have relocated from the territory of the Mykolaiv region to other regions, and another 165 have stopped their economic activity.

This became known on Thursday, December 14, during the session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, NikVest writes.

On the territory of the Mykolaiv region, from the beginning of the invasion, active hostilities were conducted. Therefore, some enterprises relocated their facilities to safer regions due to the proximity of the front line and the possibility of using ballistic weapons.

According to the information specified in the «Program of Economic and Social Development of the Mykolaiv Region for 2024», among the most affected enterprises is the group of companies «Agrofusion», which lost two modern tomato processing plants, and TDV «Bashtanskyi Syrzavod», which moved its production capacity outside the region.

In addition, elevator companies such as NIBULON JV LLC, Nika Tera Specialized Sea Port LLC, Prometheus Group of Companies, Avery Marine Transshipment Terminal, Zasilske KhHP PJSC also suffered serious losses.

Deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Serhii Shulhach asked what measures and programs the regional leadership is implementing to attract business to return to improve the economic situation in the region.

«What steps and programs does the regional leadership have to bring business back to the region? Has the question of providing assistance and benefits to the business to return to the region been considered? Due to the fact that a large number of businesses left Mykolayiv region for other regions, unfortunately, the situation with tax collections in our region is very deplorable,» said Serhii Shulhach.

Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development and Regional Policy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Iryna Tsarenko, reported that the region has a program to provide financial support to small and medium-sized businesses.

«This year, we have developed a procedure for providing financial support for medium and small businesses. In particular, the program includes an item for compensating the cost of moving production facilities to enterprises that have returned from relocation and registered their location on the territory of the Mykolaiv region. They will receive assistance of no more than 50% of the cost of their expenses, and no more than 200,000 per budget year. We help as much as we can,» Iryna Tsarenko said.

We remind that in December of last year, Vitalii Kim reported that after the liberation of Kherson, many small enterprises began to return to Mykolaiv, but big business is not yet in a hurry to restore capacities in the region.

We also remind you that in a year and a half since the start of the great war, as of the end of September 2023, 840 enterprises have moved to safer regions in Ukraine under the relocation program.

The largest part of businesses chose Zakarpattia and Lviv regions for a new place of work — 120 and 199 companies, respectively. Chernivtsi Oblast — 78 relocators — and Ivano-Frankivsk Region — 70 also made it to the top of safe regions in demand among entrepreneurs.

In particular, as of May, the work of four large enterprises has already resumed in the Mykolaiv region. We are talking about the Agrofusion and PepsiCo companies, the Yantar brewery and the Nibulon company.

In April , it became known about the resumption of work at the tomato processing plant of the Agrofusion company in the deoccupied Snihurivka. PepsiCo resumed its operations in early May.
