The activity of the Russian aviation has decreased, this may be due to the fact that the Russian forces are concentrating their efforts on more important directions, or to the fact that the number of aircraft, ammunition and aviation fuel has decreased after the fire damage of some Russian airfields.

Vitalii Sarantsev, the spokesman of the Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group, reported this on the air of the nationwide telethon Yedyni Novyny, writes Ukrinform.

«Regarding the aviation component, I can say that we are observing its significant decrease, especially compared to the past periods, when we had several dozen airstrikes with the use of 30 to 50 anti-aircraft missiles per day. Now this number has decreased significantly. The enemy uses two or three, sometimes four anti-aircraft guns,» the spokesman said.

However, the spokesman noted that the situation in the Kharkiv direction remains difficult. The Russian army does not stop trying to wedge itself into the depths of Ukrainian units. They also continue to shell Defense Forces positions on all active areas of the front.

«There are currently no changes in the position of the occupiers. There is also no expansion of the control zone. We are giving a decent rebuff to the enemy who is trying to advance, so the situation is completely under our control,» Vitalii Sarantsev concluded.

We will remind, despite the advance of the Armed Forces in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, the intensity of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine does not decrease. The enemy is transferring its rear units and reserves to Kursk region.
