The head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim reported that the Varvarivskyi bridge was transferred to state ownership after all. Currently, tenders are being held for further maintenance of the bridge.

«My opinion is whether there will be such a situation that the bridge will be closed, in a couple of years, when we will rebuild it. But we will provide an alternative crossing. As for its safety, everything will be fine, during the war it is not appropriate to talk about examinations, repairs and that our paint has fallen off here. We have bridges, we have work on these bridges, we must not touch or interfere with people's work,» said the head of RMA.

We remind, during the meeting on October 13, a decision was made to transfer the Ingulsky and Yuzhnobuzskyi (Varvarivskyi) bridges in Mykolaiv to state ownership.

However, recently, in a comment to NikVesti, the director of the company ELU Avtodorih Vitalii Shevchenko said that the process of documenting the transfer of the bridge from city to state ownership is still ongoing.

As you know, Varvarivskyi Bridge in Mykolaiv is part of the M-14 highway of international importance «Odesa — Melitopol — Novoazovsk» and is currently in a state of emergency. In February 2020, the process of transferring the bridge from the municipal ownership of the city to the balance sheet of Ukravtodor began, but the transfer could not be completed for a long time. This is due to the fact that the Ministry of Finance is asking Mykolaiv to provide the cost of reconstruction of the building in order to accept Varvarivskyi Bridge as state property. For this, the city had to conduct an examination and order design and estimate documentation for the repair of the bridge, the total cost of which is about 20 million hryvnias. The mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych previously reported that there are no funds for this in the city budget.
