Because of the shelling, 14 high-rise buildings in Mykolaiv are planned to be partially heated and without «utility bills»

In Mykolaiv, 14 high-rise buildings damaged by Russian shelling are going to be partially heated and without charges for heat supply services.

Dmytro Bezdolnyy, director of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Mykolaiv City Council, reported this in response to an information request from «NikVesti».

It is currently impossible to fully supply heat to these buildings for technical reasons — the heating will be run on individual risers or apartments, he explained. At the same time, it is impossible to supply heat to five high-rise buildings, as these buildings have been completely destroyed by the enemy.

Dmytro Bezdolnyy added that the Department of HCS sent letters to heat suppliers with a list of houses and damaged apartments, so that they would not charge consumers for heat, in particular, for subscriber service in houses damaged by rocket strikes.

In total, as of October 18, 1,156 high-rise buildings were damaged by shelling in the city, of which 33 were partially destroyed and 5 were completely destroyed, the DHCS reported. In the rest of the houses, the roofs, facades, and windows were damaged.

We would like to remind you that the 2023/24 heating season in Mykolaiv is planned to start on November 1, but if the temperatures are below normal, heat can be supplied to the houses of the citizens earlier.

Earlier, the «Mykolaivvoblteploenerho» utility company warned that the heating season may not start in October, as previously planned. At the same time, the Mykolayiv region is 86% ready for the upcoming heating season.

It is also known that the residents of Mykolaiv owe 246 million hryvnias to «Oblteploenerho», of which 89 million hryvnias is a debt for the past heating season. The company reported that 455 million hryvnias will be needed to repay the debt between the approved and economically justified tariff.

We also remind that according to the mayor of the city Oleksandr Sienkevych, the previous heating season was not easy, but we managed to cope with all emergency situations.
