Took bribes for services provided free of charge: two officials of the State Land Cadastre were informed of the suspicion

Two officials of one of the departments of the State Land Cadastre management in the Mykolaiv region were suspected of bribery. The investigation revealed nine facts of joint conspiracy. They face up to 10 years in prison and confiscation of property.
As reported in the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the deputy head of the department in collusion with the head of the department and the state cadastral registrar in January-March of last year received a bribe from the engineers of the land managers for services provided free of charge.
During the pre-trial investigation, the law enforcement officers established nine such facts. The amount of bribes is more than 40 thousand hryvnias.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
We will remind, in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained the current Deputy Minister of Energy on suspicion of receiving a bribe. Three of his accomplices were also detained, one of them the head of an energy company from the Mykolaiv region.
