As of September 2, infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv Oblast are 78% prepared for the new heating season

This was announced by the head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim during a telethon on September 2.

In addition, 58% of the territory of the region no longer depends on gas. Only the cities of Mykolaiv and Voznesensk remain, where work on energy independence is still ongoing.

«We are a little ahead of schedule in terms of readiness for the heating season. We are about 78% ready for the heating season there with a plan of 75%. We are actively implementing energy independence projects, including thanks to the support of foreign partners. Solar panels and batteries are installed at social facilities. Elon Musk provided us with Tesla energy storage systems, which are used to provide these objects with electricity,» noted Vitalii Kim.

He also noted that the region has set itself an ambitious goal of completely abandoning dependence on gas, although this may take more than one year.
