Mykolaiv City Hospital №3 received a surgical X-ray machine from benefactors.

This is reported by the city health department.

The head of the urology department, Oleh Saveliiev, said that the C-arm type apparatus is designed both for diagnosing pathologies and for performing surgical interventions. According to him, the device helps reduce the time of performing even complex operations and minimizes risks for patients.

It is noted that the new equipment will be used in the urological operating room for the treatment of a fairly wide range of diseases and pathologies, including operations for urolithiasis, tumor removal, ureteral stenting, kidney stenting, urinary incontinence correction, etc.

«Usually these are planned operations. But at the same time, we have to work with combat injuries, when help should be provided urgently, so the received equipment will be very reliable and effective, including in emergency situations,» Oleh Saveliiev adds.

It is worth noting that for city hospital №3 in Mykolaiv they planned to purchase a mobile X-ray system of general purpose. The expected cost of the equipment is 10.4 million hryvnias. The contractor must deliver the digital diagnostic X-ray system by October 31, 2024.

We will remind that four hospitals of the Mykolaiv region received medical equipment, the purchase of which was financed by the Japanese government.
