Denmark will send 130 million Danish kroner (over 16 million euros) to support Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Mykolaiv will also receive gas piston installations as part of the aid.

This was reported in the press service of the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine.

The Danish Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Ohor notes that Russia violates the rules of warfare by inflicting massive strikes on the energy and heat systems of Ukraine. According to him, Denmark should do everything possible to make Ukraine's energy system as stable as possible.

The funds will go towards immediate needs, including the purchase of critical equipment and spare parts, to provide Ukrainians with electricity and heat during the difficult winter months.

In addition, Denmark will transfer gas piston installations to Mykolaiv to ensure access to electricity and heat even during blackouts.

«This support is part of the wider Danish-Ukrainian Energy Partnership Program (UDEPP) — a collaboration between the Danish Energy Agency and Ukrainian ministries focused on energy policy, planning and integration of renewable energy,» the message reads.
