General Staff: Over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have received training abroad

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, more than 100,000 servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have undergone training on the territory of partner countries.

This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Department of Doctrine and Training of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevhen Mezhevikin during a briefing, reports Ukrinform.

According to him, for the period of 2022, 2023, 2024, more than 100 thousand military personnel received various training in partner countries: from basic knowledge to specialized skills of various types of troops, as well as training of leaders and coordination of headquarters. Mezhevikin noted that the partner countries have undertaken a significant amount of work.

He also added that cooperation with NATO member countries and partners regarding the training of the Ukrainian military continues and develops.

It was previously reported that students of 10-11 grades will study weapons, marksmanship training, the basics of fortifications and first aid. They will also learn to navigate the terrain, control drones and conduct reconnaissance based on open sources.
