The Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans will receive 50 million hryvnias for reconstruction.

This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 7 March as part of the implementation of investment projects of the Ministry of Health, according to NikVesti.

The project is aimed at strengthening the institution's capacity to provide inpatient rehabilitation care, in particular for military personnel undergoing treatment and recovery from injuries.

In a comment to NikVesti, Olena Kuzmina, head of the «Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans», said that the development of design and estimate documentation is already at the final stage.

«The modernisation involves updating ventilation, insulation, communications, elevators, and creating comfortable conditions for those undergoing rehabilitation. "We do not know yet how soon the funds will be allocated to the Mykolaiv Regional Water Treatment Plant, and the issues with equipment remain open, although we have everything we need,» she said.

In addition, according to the government's decision, Mykolaiv region will receive modern medical equipment as part of a state investment project implemented by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Funds for the purchase of equipment are provided for cluster and supercluster hospitals in the region that meet the requirements for the availability of premises and staff capable of working with the new equipment.

At the end of 2024, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko announced that 15 priority investment projects from 12 regions of Ukraine worth more than 2.6 billion hryvnias had been selected for 2025, including the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Children's Hospital and the Mykolaiv Hospital for War Veterans in Mykolaiv region.
