A slight warming is expected in Mykolaiv and the region by the end of the week — the temperature will rise by only a few degrees, but winter will not give up its position.
This was reported by a forecaster from the Mykolaiv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre in a comment to NikVesti.
On Tuesday, 20 January, the weather will be similar to previous days: variable cloudiness, no significant precipitation and a cold wind. At night, the thermometer will drop to -9...-14°C in the region, and during the day it is expected to be -1...-6°C. In Mykolaiv, the air temperature at night will be -9...-11°C, and during the day -2...-4°C below zero.
On 21–22 January, forecasters predict daytime temperatures around zero. It will warm up by a few degrees, but no above-zero temperatures are expected. At night, the frost will no longer reach -14°C, but the cold weather will remain.
This trend will continue on 23–24 January: at night, the temperature will range from -4 to -9°C below zero, and during the day — between -1 and -6°C.
At the same time, according to Natalia Ptukha, head of the media relations department at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, starting on 22 January, and especially during the period from 25 to 27 January, a cyclone will begin to move into Ukraine. This will lead to increased cloud cover and precipitation. Against the backdrop of their growing intensity, precipitation is possible in most regions of the country.
We would like to remind you that forecasters previously predicted that the coming winter in Ukraine could be record-breakingly cold, with Arctic frosts, prolonged periods of snow and sharp weather fluctuations.
