Kim stated that Russians are flying drones at wind turbines in the Mykolaiv region

The Russian army is attacking wind farms in the Mykolaiv region as soon as they are put into operation. Four wind turbines have already been damaged by drone strikes.

This was reported on air by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

According to him, the Russian military is using FPV drones to strike renewable energy facilities in the region. Some of the wind turbines in the Mykolaiv region are simply not working because as soon as they are launched, they immediately become targets for shelling. At the same time, as Vitalii Kim explained, it is practically impossible to protect such power generation facilities with special structures due to their large size.

«In fact, it is almost impossible to protect them (wind farms, — note). They are not working because as soon as they are turned on, the enemy almost immediately targets them with FPV drones. They have already damaged four wind turbines in this way. This is very expensive. We are now trying to work together to protect them by military means. Unfortunately, it is impossible to protect them with concrete because of their size,» said Vitalii Kim.

Earlier, Vitalii Kim visited Pivdennoukrainsk, where he discussed the development of an action plan to strengthen the region's energy independence and the operation of the nuclear power plant.
