Only 235 people took part in the «Health Screening 40+» programme in Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, only a small number of residents — 235 people — have so far taken advantage of the new state programme «Health Screening 40+», which launched on 1 January 2026.

This was announced during a briefing by Iryna Tkachenko, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration’s Health Department, according to NikVesti.

According to her, 18 healthcare facilities in various communities across the region are currently involved in the programme.

«At present, 18 healthcare facilities in the Mykolaiv region are involved in the programme, providing convenient access to screening,» noted Iryna Tkachenko.

In total, 45 screening centres are already operational, but the number of people willing to undergo screening is minimal.

«In fact, 235 residents have used this service to date,» she added.

As a reminder, the programme provides for preventive examinations for people aged 40 and over and aims to detect diseases at an early stage. On 1 January 2026, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in collaboration with partners, launched the National «Health Screening 40+» Programme.
