Photo: Serhii Ovcharishyn, ‘NikVesti’The City Council’s Department of Housing and Communal Services has announced a re-tender for road repairs on 6 Slobidska Street, from Tsentralnyi Avenue to 1 Voienna Street. The cost of the works has been reduced by 220,000 hryvnias.
This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system, reports NikVesti.
The current estimated cost of the works is 23.8 million hryvnias. The contractor must complete them by 30 September 2026.
According to the tender documentation, the contractor must remove the old asphalt concrete by milling, dismantle and remove the kerbstones, lay new concrete kerbs, install the road surface itself, fit new kerbs and tactile paving slabs, and carry out landscaping of the surrounding area.
Previously, the Housing and Utilities Department had planned to spend over 24.1 million hryvnias on repairing this section of the road, but the tender was cancelled. It turned out that the technical documentation contained a list of works that had already been carried out during the repair of the tram tracks along 6 Slobidska Street. The department was informed of this by the municipal enterprise Mykolaivelektrotrans, which had carried out the works. As a result, the tender was subsequently cancelled and relaunched with an updated estimated cost.
As a reminder, following the major roadworks on 6 Slobidska Street, from Tsentralnyi Avenue to 1-a Voienna Street, traffic on this section will become two-way.
Repairs to the tram tracks are currently underway there — they are expected to be completed by the end of April 2026.
