Mykolaiv’s chief architect wants to remove the punching bag from Soborna Street

A boxing bag will be removed from Soborna Street in the centre of Mykolaiv. Residents of a nearby residential building have requested that it be dismantled.

This was announced by Mykolaiv’s chief architect, Yevhen Poliakov, during a meeting of the city council’s executive committee on 22 April, according to NikVesti.

He reported that the owner does not have the necessary permits for the attraction’s location and proposed that members of the executive committee support its removal.

«The reason is a complaint received by the contact centre. People are complaining about the attraction on Soborna Street in the form of a punching bag, which is disturbing them in their flats. They have no permits — we will dismantle it,» said Yevhen Poliakov.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv’s chief architect Yevhen Poliakov stated that it is currently unknown which advertising structures were dismantled at the start of the full-scale invasion and whether they were used for defence purposes. A working group will be set up to investigate the matter.
