Vilkul urged people not to visit large shopping centres in towns near the front line

Oleksandr Vilkul, Chair of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, has urged residents of towns near the front line not to visit large shopping centres, citing warnings from intelligence sources.

He made this statement in a video address.

«In Kryvyi Rih, the enemy has already struck two large shopping centres — «Epicentre» and «Sunny Gallery». Intelligence reports suggest that further strikes on other large shopping centres in frontline towns, and in Kryvyi Rih in particular, are possible. I therefore urge you — please avoid visiting large shopping centres. Or, at the very least, visit shopping centres where the owners have set up and equipped shelters, and go there when an air raid alarm is sounded,» he said.

As a reminder, Russian troops have attacked a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih twice. The strikes killed 14 people and injured a further 121, including 22 children.
