In the Vinnytsia region, the equipment of one of the energy facilities was damaged due to the fall of fragments of a Russian drone.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

According to the report, more than 23,000 subscribers in 4 settlements were cut off, but by morning most of them had recovered.

On the night of May 17, an air alert was announced in Vinnytsia that lasted for several hours. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the night, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 20 attack drones, all of them were shot down.

Disconnection of consumers during the day until evening peak load hours is not planned.

We will remind, the advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, a member of the supervisory board of NEC «Ukrenergo» Yury Boyko noted that the power cuts for the population, which began on May 14, 2024, will last until August-September. In winter, there will be a deficit in the energy system even at high temperatures.

It was also reported that «Mykolaivoblenergo» reported that on the morning of May 17, they started restoring power to all consumers who were cut off according to the blackout schedule.
