As a result of shelling of Mykolaiv on July 19, as of 10:30 p.m., three people were killed and 15 injured. One of the dead was Iryna Ponomarenko, former head of the regional election commission (2015).

Iryna Ponomarenko headed the Mykolaiv Regional Election Commission (2015) and was the deputy head of the city election commission in Mykolaiv (2020). Previously, she worked as the deputy director of the Mykolaiv National Academic Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy. Iryna Ponomarenko was 63 years old.
