President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on mobilization.

This is stated in the card of the document on the website of the parliament.

Most of the provisions of the law will become effective in a month. The president previously assured that the draft law contains provisions for supporting the army, which is constantly at the front, in particular, thanks to rotations and vacations.

The main provisions of the document:

  • Those recognized as limited fit and those with 2-3 groups of disabilities must re-visit the Military Medical Comission (MMC);
  • Regarding consular services abroad, it will be necessary to update personal data in the TCC within 60 days. At the same time, it will be possible to do this remotely by e-mail, phone or e-cabinet;
  • Restriction of the right to drive a car for military service evaders;
  • It is necessary to have a military registration document with you and to show it at the request of a representative of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre(TRSC), a police officer or the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The adopted document foresees changes regarding mobilization processes, punishment for evaders, basic military service, the right to postponement, introduces new obligations of conscripts and motivational norms.

On April 11, the draft law was adopted by the parliament.

We will also remind that almost all people's deputies representing the Mykolaiv Oblast who were present at the meeting voted «for».

What about the mobilization in Mykolaiv Oblast?

As you know, during the full-scale war, 33,000 residents of the Mykolaiv Oblast were mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces.

The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, expressed his belief in the need for mobilization after personal communication with the military, who are currently defending the state.

The head of the RMA added that money should not be the main motivation for protecting the state.

In response to this, Oksana Kaliuzhna, a member of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, reacted negatively to the regional leadership's statement regarding mobilization, comparing the issuing of summonses to evasioners to catching dogs.
