Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk gave up the title of absolute world champion in super heavyweight, giving up the IBF title for a fight between British boxers Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.

He stated this in a video message that he published on Instagram.

«Hello everyone. Anthony and Daniel, listen, I know the IBF belt is important to you…. Let's call it my September 21st gift. Thank God for everything! Glory to Ukraine!» said Oleksandr Usyk.

In a post accompanying the video, the champion also tagged Joshua and Dubois, saying the IBF belt was his «gift to them» on September 21, when the Briton's fight is tentatively scheduled to take place.

We will remind, after the victory of Oleksandr Usyk over the Briton Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world champion, The Ring updated the rating of the best boxers in the world — it was headed by a Ukrainian boxer.
