Ukrainian state competition regulator

AMCU (Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine) is the state body that protects economic competition, investigates bid rigging and fines companies and authorities for violations. Its Southern interregional territorial branch opened a case over possible collusion between suppliers of generators for Mykolaivelektrotrans. As of June 2025, the committee was headed by Pavlo Kyrylenko, who that month was notified of a new suspicion of failing to declare assets.

MykVisti covers collusion in public tenders in Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv Oblast: heat meters for Mykolaivoblteploenergo, 11 procurements for hospitals in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, road repairs in Voznesensk. The newsroom also follows AMCU checks of local councils and municipal companies, from the sale of city land in Mykolaiv to carriers chosen without a tender in Pervomaisk and Novyi Buh and tariffs for funeral services and hot water.
