Ukrainian government ministry for finance

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine manages the state budget, public debt and transfers to local budgets. As of October 2023, the finance minister was Serhii Marchenko. In 2024 the ministry raised over ₴300 billion from military bond sales, and in June 2024 it transferred ₴27 billion to local budgets.

For Mykolaiv, the main issue is a state subsidy for the city budget. In July 2026 the ministry refused a ₴150 million subsidy for school meals, pointing to the city's growing revenue. In autumn 2026 Mykolaiv was still waiting for ₴1.18 billion, and Vitalii Kim admitted no agreement had been reached.

MykVisti also covers public debt, debt restructuring and tax changes.
