Ukrainian refugees are citizens of Ukraine forced to leave their country due to Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. According to international organizations, millions of Ukrainians have sought temporary refuge in European and other countries worldwide, with women and children forming the majority.

In the European Union, refugees are granted temporary protection, which provides access to social support, healthcare, education, and the right to work. The largest numbers of Ukrainians are hosted in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and other neighboring countries.

The question of refugees returning to Ukraine remains open, as safety conditions, economic factors, and integration opportunities influence their decisions.
