Ukrainian ministry in charge of police and vehicle services

Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is the central executive body responsible for the police and its service centres, where people register vehicles and take driving tests. As of February 2026, the minister was Ihor Klymenko. That month he spoke of an “active phase” of terrorist attacks on law enforcement officers and said Telegram could not be fully blocked, though restricting it should be discussed.

MykVisti covers ministry decisions for drivers, such as new markings for driving school cars, drug tests in hospitals and re-registering a car without visiting a service centre. The newsroom also reports on cases around service centres in Mykolaiv Oblast, the minister’s statements after Russian missile strikes on Mykolaiv and investigations into high-profile murders.
