Pressure on journalists refers to situations where media professionals face restrictions on their activities due to threats, harassment, physical violence, lawsuits, or censorship. This pressure can come from state authorities, private individuals, business entities, or other interested parties.

In Ukraine, forms of pressure include physical attacks, searches, confiscation of equipment, threats, legal actions, and economic constraints. In frontline regions like Mykolaiv, journalists often face challenges related to limited access to information, safety concerns during event coverage, and economic pressure on newsrooms.

Unions, human rights organizations, and international institutions play a crucial role in defending journalists' rights.
