City beaches of Mykolaiv and Odesa: whether swimming is allowed, how clean the water is and how recreation areas by the rivers and the sea are prepared.

Swimming in Mykolaiv rivers has been banned since 2 June 2022 under martial law. In summer 2025 the city planned to open three official beaches for the first time since the full-scale war began. In September 2026 E. coli was found in the water at the Strilka and Chaika beaches.
