VAT

VAT, or value added tax, is the tax companies pay to the state budget on the goods and services they sell. In 2025 businesses in Mykolaiv Oblast paid UAH 3.5 billion in VAT, and 59 businesses received almost UAH 640 million in refunds. In the first seven months of 2026 they paid UAH 1.9 billion. The Mykolaiv Regional Council asked the government not to impose VAT on small businesses, and in October 2026 parliament passed a bill on VAT for international parcels.
