Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the state has paid 1 billion 355 thousand hryvnias in monetary aid to internally displaced persons living in the Mykolaiv district.
This was announced by the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Maksym Kashuba, during a briefing today, January 3, NikVesti reports.
As of the beginning of 2024, about 36,000 internally displaced persons live in the district. More than 900 million hryvnias were paid to them over the last year.
«Internally displaced persons are a very sensitive topic. The war forced many to move. On the territory of the district, the figure ranges from 33 to 36 thousand IDPs. A total of 906 million was calculated and paid out for housing assistance for displaced persons. This is a very large number. And in general, since the beginning of the invasion, it is one billion 355 thousand. The state always takes care of its citizens. People receive the funds they should receive, according to the law,» said Maksym Kashuba.
We remind, almost 40% of the recipients of assistance as internally displaced persons live only on these funds, because they have not found a job or it is poorly paid.
In October, more than 5.6 billion hryvnias were already allocated to payments to internally displaced persons.
