In the Mykolaiv region, the need for workers has increased, in particular in the de-occupied territories.
Alla Velikhovska, director of the Department of Education and Science, informed about this at the briefing, NikVesti writes.
She noted that vocational and technical educational institutions are actively working on the training of qualified workers. In particular, during the last year, the material base of educational institutions, including educational workshops and shelters, has improved significantly.
«Today, more than ever, the need for workers has increased. De-occupied areas are especially in need of restoration. That is why we are working on training specialists,» said Alla Velikhovska.
She also spoke about cooperation with the UN development program, which allows organizing short-term courses for the formation of partial qualification competencies in various fields.
«We cooperate with the UN development program and they provide an opportunity to organize short-term courses so that an adult can take them and get a job. Such courses were held in many specialties: tractor drivers, electricians, construction workers, power engineers, and others. We continue to organize the courses and they are completely free,» Alla Velikhovska, director of the Department of Education and Science, emphasized.
We would like to remind you that in the Mykolaiv region, work is currently underway to restore 47 educational institutions.
It is also worth noting that the World Food Program of the United Nations allocated more than 1 million hryvnias to the Mykolaiv region for hot meals for junior school students.
Earlier, the head of the city's health care department, Iryna Shamrai, said that many young medical specialists left Mykolaiv due to the war, which caused a shortage of a number of medical specialties in Mykolaiv medical institutions.
In addition, there is currently a shortage of such specialties as pediatricians, therapists, and intensive care physicians in Mykolaiv. In particular, intensive care specialists and therapists are needed today by the emergency medical care hospital, which has recently experienced a reduction in staff due to a decrease in funding. However, Iryna Shamrai assures that this situation has nothing to do with the shortage of personnel.
We will remind, earlier the head of the city's health care department, Iryna Shamrai , said that it is necessary to reduce the number of six medical workers who are currently abroad and are not doing their jobs in the Mykolaiv Medical Center. In addition, there are 299 vacant positions in the hospital.
