In addition, institutions of higher education that were damaged by Russian shelling are being restored in Mykolaiv Oblast. Thus, 10 million hryvnias were spent on the complete reconstruction of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
As you know, the university was shelled twice by Russian troops last summer. Then four Russian S-300 missiles caused the destruction of the main building of the university and caused significant losses to the material and technical base of the university.
During the year, workers eliminated the consequences of Russian shelling, the largest of which caused the destruction of the facade of the main building of the university.
Lyceum №51 in Mykolaiv
As you know, at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 25, it was decided to allocate 667.9 million hryvnias for the restoration of five objects in the Mykolaiv region. The list included, in particular, the construction of the Mykolaiv Lyceum №51, the building of which was hit by a Russian rocket in July 2022.
At first, the head of the education department of the city council, Hanna Lychko, said that for Mykolaiv, school №51 is of great importance, so it will be rebuilt. However, the technical council under the management of capital construction of the city council came to the conclusion that the building of the 51st lyceum must be demolished. After that, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced that a new, modern facility with shelters for children would be built in its place.
Anatoliy Petrov, the vice-mayor of Mykolaiv, said in a comment to NikVesti that the construction project of Lyceum №51 will be developed by the summer of 2024. Later, he said that they want to build three buildings there for primary, secondary and senior education.
At the same time, the Department of Energy, Energy Saving and Implementation of Innovative Technologies of the Mykolaiv City Council ordered the development of design and estimate documentation for the repair and installation of windows and doors in school No. 51.

Lyceum №60 in Varvarivka
As previously reported by NikVesti, the Department of Town Planning, Architecture, Capital Construction, Development Project Support of the Mykolaiv Oblast announced a tender for the new construction of the destroyed Lyceum №60 building in Varvarivka.
We will remind that in July, the city planning department signed a contract with the limited liability company «Concord Project» for the construction project of Lyceum №60 in the amount of 1 million 490 thousand hryvnias.
The educational institution was destroyed in July 2022. As a result of the attack, one of the buildings of the lyceum was destroyed, and the playground nearby was also damaged.
As reported, they want to rebuild Lyceum №60 for 200 million hryvnias by the end of 2028. This amount is indicated in the capital expenditures of the Mykolaiv budget.
It should be noted that the educational institution was the first object of the city program «Warm House». After renovation, it was opened in the fall of 2018. Note that the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on another building of the institution.
