The EU Council approved another 4.2 billion payments to Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility initiative. The money should arrive this month.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

«The EU Council approved another payment to Ukraine within the Ukraine Facility. We are talking about receiving €4.2 billion this month, which will bring this year's total aid under this initiative to €16 billion,» he wrote.

According to him, such financial support demonstrates determination to strengthen the Ukrainian economy, support key reforms and European integration aspirations, as well as strengthen Ukraine on the way to victory.

We will remind that in July 2024, Ukraine signed an agreement with the European Union, which regulates the receipt of grant aid under the Ukraine Facility in the amount of 5.27 billion euros over the next four years.

In November 2024, the European Union approved a budget for the next year in the amount of 199.4 billion euros, of which 15.2 billion euros will go to support Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program.
