The national energy company Ukrenergo has filed a lawsuit against Mykolaivoblenergo JSC to recover more than 36.5 million hryvnias in debt under an electricity transmission agreement.

This is stated in the ruling of the Commercial Court of Mykolaiv Region, according to NikVesti.

According to the case materials, Ukrenergo is demanding a total of 36 million 515 thousand 362 hryvnias from Mykolaivoblenergo. The main debt of this amount is 32 million 998 thousand 661 hryvnias. Another 2.6 million hryvnias is 3% per annum, and more than 885 thousand hryvnias is indicated as inflation losses.

The lawsuit was filed in connection with Mykolaivoblenergo's improper performance of its obligations under the contract for the provision of electricity transmission services dated 24 May 2019 №0513-02041. The company did not make timely and full payment for the services provided, which led to the formation of the debt.

The next court hearing is scheduled for 11 March.

We would like to remind you that in an interview with NikVesti in 2023, the regional power company said that the restoration of the electrical networks in the Mykolaiv region damaged by shelling would cost 12 billion hryvnias, according to preliminary data.
