Residents of Mykolaiv owe more than ₴200 million in water bills

The debts of Mykolaiv residents for water consumption are mounting. As of 1 April, the debt had reached 235 million 561 thousand hryvnias.

This was reported by the municipal utility company «Mykolaivvodokanal».

The utility company noted that the statistics indicate a rise in debts owed to the enterprise.

«At the start of the year, as of 1 January 2026, the total debt of city residents stood at 235 million 419 thousand hryvnias. In just three months, the situation has worsened: by 1 April, the figure had reached 235 million 561 thousand hryvnias,» the water utility reported.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv residents owe almost 321 million hryvnias for heating. Of this amount, around 72.5 million hryvnias are charges for March 2026.

It was also reported that the water utility’s new management had dismissed technical director Vasyl Telpis, who had worked at the company for over 40 years. He stated that he had indeed submitted his resignation following a conversation with the new CEO of «Mykolaivvodokanal», Hennadii Iziumov.
