During this period, the official’s family upgraded their car, and his wife’s income from business activities increased almost threefold.
This is evidenced by the data in his declaration, published in the Unified State Register, NikVesti reports.
According to the document, in 2025 Yuriy Smetana earned 1 million 261 thousand hryvnias in salary from the company (in 2024 — 1.23 million hryvnias). On average, the monthly salary of the municipal enterprise’s director amounted to around 105 thousand hryvnias.
In addition, Yuriy Smetana declared payments from trade unions totalling around 6,800 hryvnias and 29,200 hryvnias in income from the disposal of property. The buyer is listed as Brizi LLC — a company specialising in the trade-in of used equipment.
At the same time, the bulk of the family budget was provided by the official’s wife, Yuliia Kshanivska. Her income from business activities rose significantly over the year: from 1 million hryvnias in 2024 to 2.82 million hryvnias in 2025.
In addition, she received 770,000 hryvnias from the sale of movable property, presumably the sale of their previous Mazda 6 car.
In July 2025, the family upgraded their car. Yuliia Kshanivska purchased a Toyota RAV4 (2022 model) for 1 million 16 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, the 2016 Mazda 6, which she had valued at 408,000 hryvnias in her previous declaration, disappeared from her assets. Yurii Smetana does not declare any cars of his own.
As for property, the family still owns:
-
a residential house with an area of 137.7 m² (owned by his wife since September 2024);
-
a residential house with an area of 29.1 m² (Yurii Smetana’s personal property);
-
two plots of land with a total area of over 1,500 m² (owned by his wife);
-
a share in a flat with an area of 36.4 m². This property is not jointly owned by the family — the flat has been divided between Yuriy Smetana (33.33%) and two co-owners since 2005.
Over the year, the family has significantly increased its cash savings. Yurii Smetana holds 1.5 million hryvnias in cash (compared to 1.2 million hryvnias in 2024). His wife declared 2.7 million hryvnias in cash (compared to 1.5 million hryvnias the previous year). In total, the family holds 4.2 million hryvnias in cash.
The director of the municipal enterprise is also continuing to repay a loan taken out with Kredobank back in 2020. As of the end of the reporting period, the outstanding balance stood at 79,000 hryvnias.
Earlier, the heads of factions and deputy groups of the Mykolaiv Regional Council published their declarations for 2025. Among the assets declared were houses, flats, cars, dozens of plots of land, agricultural businesses and incomes running into millions.
