Due to the deficit in Ukraine's energy system due to Russian shelling and the insufficient import of electricity, the company «Ukrenergo» was forced to increase the volume of restrictions for industry and business.

This was reported by the company's press service.

On May 9, due to the lack of electricity import at night, the dispatch center of Ukrenergo was forced to extend the validity of the capacity limitation schedules for industry from 11:00 p.m. to 07:00 a.m. on May 10.

“Today also the power curtailment schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect from 18:00 to 07:00 the next day. If consumption increases, emergency shutdowns may be used,» Ukrenergo reports.

In addition, from 19:00 to 22:00 on Thursday and from 06:00 to 07:00 today, Ukrenergo applied emergency assistance from the energy systems of neighboring countries. On Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the request of the Polish energy system operator, Ukraine received surplus electricity from Poland.

The import of electricity on May 10 is planned during the day (except night hours) from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova with a total volume of 13,904 MWh.

We will remind that the US Agency for International Development allocated more than 190 million dollars for the program, within the framework of which it will provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance in the field of energy for 5 years.
