The presentation of the triptych book Grey Rainbow was held in Mykolaiv, which includes the works of the artist Dmytro Kremшn.
The event took place on Friday, October 11, at the Mykolaiv Regional Universal Scientific Library, the correspondent NikVesti reports.
Dmytro Kremin is an outstanding Mykolaiv resident, poet, publicist, journalist, essayist, translator, artist, honored artist of Ukraine and laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine. The artist's poetic works are known not only in Ukraine, but also throughout the world.
Taras Kremin, son of Dmytro Dmytrovych, Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, also participated in the presentation of the book. He talked about the life and creative path of his father.
In the comment NikVesti Taras Kremin noted that the book Grey Rainbow is about the history of the great Ukrainian people.
«This book is about love for Ukraine, for our native land, for our indomitable Mykolaiv, for our ancestors and for our history with great confidence in our future. Also, the book is about you and me, about our children, about our parents, about the huge losses we bear on the battlefield, about a delicate soul, a deep philosophy, and about the history of a great nation,» said Taras Kremin.
The politician also said that his father worked in the field of journalism for a long time, so he could combine creativity and objectivity of events in his works.
«My father devoted his entire life to his poetic texts, but at the same time he worked in Mykolaiv journalism in various positions, starting in 1975. He could combine in himself a high rigor to the genre, to the coverage of objective events and facts, but at the same time, like Vasyl Stefanyk, he used this knowledge in his literary work. Therefore, his poetry is about a person, about his universe, about his will and individuality,» Taras Kremin added.
The publication «Grey Rainbow» contains literary portraits dedicated to the People's Artist of Ukraine Andriy Antonyuk, the poet Peter Skunts, and Doctor of Philological Sciences Vasyl Nimchuk.
In addition, the book contains speeches and reflections of Dmytro Kremin, including the famous Shevchenko speech, as well as reflections and essays: «Ukraine asks for protection», «About truth and wrong», «Hymn of the Ukrainian nightingale» and others.
We will remind you that on October 4, the personal exhibition of the artist Oleksandr Komarnytskyi «Parallel worlds in graphics» was opened in Mykolaiv.
