In the Kherson region, ten modern shelters of the Parasolka type were purchased for the military, half of which have already been delivered to the region. The regional budget allocated 17.8 million hryvnias for this.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA, announced this.
According to the manager, shelters are tested according to Ukrainian and NATO standards. They are made of armored steel and can withstand small arms fire, high-explosive artillery shells and drone attacks.
«The peculiarity of these shelters is their mobility, only two people and one hour are needed for installation. It holds up to 10 troops and can be quickly disassembled and moved to a new position. We are doing everything possible to ensure that the military is protected as much as possible on the front lines,» Prokudin said.
Also, the «Umbrella» is invisible to the enemy, has a three-layer coating that protects against corrosion and retains heat, providing comfort in field conditions.
Earlier it was reported that they plan to build 5 anti-radiation shelters in Kherson, but the townspeople are against it. Kherson RMA also planned to hand over 20 street shelters to the communities of the region.
In addition, the Mykolaiv Palace of Students' Creativity plans to repair the shelter by the end of the year for more than 2 million.
We will remind you that the Mykolaiv region was among the five regions that in 2024 showed the best indicators for increasing and making shelters ready.
