The number of residents of Snihurivka region who have returned since the beginning of deoccupation has doubled, — Kukhta

As of November, about 14,000 people live in the de-occupied Snihurivka community. However, there are about 7,000 in the city itself.
Ivan Kukhta, head of the Snihurivka MMA, told about this in a comment to NikVesti.

As you know, the total number of people living in the community before the start of the full-scale war was more than 20 thousand people. During the occupation, which lasted about 8 months, according to the regional authorities, about 6 thousand people lived there.

— About 7,000 people live in Snihurivka, in total there are 14,000 people in the community, — said Ivan Kukhta.

Ivan Kukhta adds that people do not return to Snihurivka due to the lack of online learning opportunities.

— I think because we are now close to the collision line and we cannot switch to offline training. So, that's one of the key levers why more people haven't come back. Children's safety is very important, — he said.

We remind, on November 10, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Snihurivka from the Russian occupiers. Read about how local people lived under the control of the Russian Federation and by whose forces the community was liberated in the article by NikVesti.
