Law enforcement officers released a recording of a conversation between the head of the Kutsurub community, Inna Kopiika, and her subordinates. On it, the woman rejoices at the possible occupation by the Russians and accuses Ukraine of shelling Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson.
The recording of the conversation was released on Friday, October 18, on the YouTube channel of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Previously, the court chose a preventive measure for Inna Kopiika in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail. The investigation claims that the 54-year-old head of the village council justified the crimes of the Russian army and called the war against Ukraine an «internal civil conflict.»
This is what she says in the published fragment of the sound recording. During a conversation with colleagues, the official waits for the arrival of the occupying power and claims that if Russia comes, «everything will stay in its place and will not be harmed.»
«We will still be glad that Russia came here. Wherever Russia goes, remember, they will leave with their houses, land, and everything. Everything else will be destroyed. Just demolished. There will be no Ukraine, only a handful of land will remain,» says Inna Kopiika.
The head of the community also claims that Ukrainians are currently «under occupation» of their own state:
«Everything is destroyed, a lot of people are dying, genocide. We, Ukrainians, are really under occupation now.»
In another part of the recording, Kopiika accuses Ukraine of provoking the war in Donbas in 2014, saying that Ukraine «killed its own people.»
«Why did you climb, kill in 2014 — Donbas, Luhansk. People made a protest that they would not lie under the bander. Leave them alone, leave them alone,» says Inna Kopiika in the video.
In addition, she claimed that it was the Ukrainian army that fired on civilians in Kherson.
«Our Ukrainians fought in Kherson. 24 people died, none military, all people died.»
It became known about the detention of Inna Kopiika on October 15. It is worth reminding that the Kutsurub community is under attack by the Russian army almost every day. Most often, villages are shelled from FPV drones, artillery and UAVs of the Shahed 131/136 type from the occupied Kinburn Peninsula.
Inna Kopiika was elected head of the community during the 2016 elections after the decentralization reform. Before that, the woman headed the Kutsurub village council twice.
It should also be noted that Inna Kopiika is the ex-wife of Ihor Kopiika, a former deputy MP from Mykolaiv. In 2018, Nikcenter journalists wrote in an investigation that budget money in Kutsurub is directed to the development of money by «necessary» contractors.
